Peanut Butter and Banana Toast

You might have heard of a PBJ – Peanut Butter and Jelly – toast, but have you ever tried a PBB? Peanut butter and banana toasts are great to start the morning with some protein and still have a sweet breakfast. They’re put together in no time and taste great. Plus, because bananas are quite sweet on their own, we like to use all natural peanut butter, with no salt or sugar added. As we always like to top our toasts with some kind of seeds, here we used chia.

Why add chia seeds on toasts?

Chia seeds are tiny but mighty, packed with essential nutrients that can elevate your meals. Just a sprinkle on your toast or salad adds a boost of:

  • Fiber: Supports digestion and helps you feel full longer.
  • Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Promotes heart health and reduces inflammation.

Ingredients

  • 2 bread slices (we used rye bread)

  • 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter (we used crunchy)

  • 1 banana

  • 1/4 teaspoon chia seeds (optional)

Instructions

Toast the bread

Toast the bread to your liking.

Compose the toast

Spread one tablespoon of peanut butter on each slice. Peel the banana and slice it. Lay the banana rounds on the peanut butter and sprinkle with a little chia seeds. Enjoy!
