Hummus is a beloved staple of Middle Eastern cuisine with roots stretching back centuries. Originating in the Levant region (modern-day Lebanon, Syria, Israel, Palestine, and Jordan), hummus has been a dietary cornerstone for thousands of years, prized for its simplicity, nutrition, and versatility. Made from blended chickpeas, tahini (sesame paste), lemon juice, garlic, and olive oil, this creamy, protein-rich spread is as nourishing as it is delicious.

Put all the ingredients in a blender. Blend until very smooth. If the consistency is too thick, add a little water and blend again until you obtain the desired texture.
2
